We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Urologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The successful candidate will provide expert diagnosis and management of complex urological conditions, perform advanced surgical and minimally invasive procedures, and deliver comprehensive patient-centered care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive urological consultations, examinations, and clinical assessments.
Diagnose and manage complex disorders of the urinary tract and male reproductive system.
Perform advanced urological surgical and minimally invasive procedures according to clinical expertise.
Manage conditions including urinary stones, prostate disorders, urinary tract diseases, urinary incontinence, male infertility, and urological cancers.
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as cystoscopy, endoscopic procedures, and other interventions where qualified.
Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive urological surgery where appropriately trained.
Manage complex urological emergencies, including urinary obstruction, severe infections, hematuria, and urological trauma.
Provide comprehensive pre-operative assessment and develop individualized surgical treatment plans.
Provide post-operative care and monitor patients for complications and recovery.
Interpret relevant laboratory investigations, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and other urological imaging.
Collaborate with nephrologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthesiologists, and other specialists.
Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records, operative notes, and clinical documentation.
Supervise and mentor Specialist Urologists, residents, and junior medical staff where required.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare authority regulations, hospital policies, infection control standards, and patient safety protocols.
Participate in on-call duties and emergency urological coverage as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
MS / MCh / DNB / FRCS / Arab Board or equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification in Urology.
Valid or eligible medical license from the relevant GCC healthcare authority.
Minimum 8–10 years of post-specialization experience, including significant Consultant-level experience.
Strong experience in general and advanced urology.
Proven expertise in endourology, laparoscopic surgery, and minimally invasive procedures is preferred.
Experience in managing complex urological and oncological cases is an advantage.
Excellent surgical skills, clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
