Conduct workplace health and safety assessments for companies of diverse industries. Execute HSE audits of contractors and sub-contractors, construction plans, and method statements to identify potential hazards and risks including NDT inspection and thermographic surveys of machinery, electrical and heating systems. Confirm regulatory compliance of sites, implement and enforce health/safety policies and procedures, improve efficiencies while reducing accident and injury rates. Provide training in asbestos identification, food hygiene & safety, fire safety, tower crane safety and rescue advice. COSH, FAAW and various other advice as per company requirements.
CME CONSULTING HSSE MANAGER IRAQ AUG 2020 – APRIL 2021
Construction of New Headquarters of the Central Bank of Iraq in Baghdad. This is a 37 story Iconic building designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. This project started in 2018 and hopefully complete in 2022. Due to Covid 19 there have been serious delays in getting manpower due to lockdowns both in Iraq and countries where various personnel are located. CME are appointed by the owners CBI to Oversee the project and DAAX construction are the Main Contractors.
The construction is of heavily reinforced concrete and is designed to withstand explosive blasts and the vault is especially well fortified to withstand the most sophisticated attempts at penetration to stop robbery. The details are highly secretive.
COVID 19 Test Centre based in Plymouth as a Traffic Supervisor and Administrator April 2020 to Aug 2020
This was a temporary position due to the lockdown and lack of prospective contracts available due to no face-to-face opportunities.
C: FIELD CONSTRUCTION UK LTD. HSE ADVISOR - BODMIN JAIL HOTEL PROJECT 2019 - MARCH 2020
Conversion of 1700 era Jail which is a type 2 listed building with a lot of complex issues to change it into a Boutique Hotel. Conduct workplace health and safety assessments. Execute HSE audits of contractors and sub-contractors, construction plans, and method statements to identify potential hazards and risks. Confirm regulatory compliance of sites; implement and enforce health/safety measures; improve efficiencies while reducing accident and injury rates. Provide training in Asbestos identification, Food Hygiene & Safety, Fire Safety, Basic Legionella, Hazardous Substances, Working at Height/Confined Spaces, Emergency First Aid, also aware of any artefacts in the ground. Everyone also has to be ecologically aware as there are three varieties of Bats within the old building, the project is now moving into the fit-out stage and many contractors are involved in the carpentry, plumbing, electrical fittings as well as floor coverings and carpentry.

• Monitored cleaning/stripping of damaged boiler plating and valve replacement amid difficult conditions.
Fatal Incident Investigation, ACWA POWER, Sultanate of Oman | HSE Consultant 2018
Conducted thorough investigation into power plant construction site fatality.
• Revealed root cause of fatal incident within two weeks of occurrence; presented findings via report to Board of Director in Dubai with recommendation for corrective action.
FEED Design Phase, SARENS UK, Kazakhstan | HSE Consultant (2017): Visited project onsite in Kazakhstan and confirmed HSE documentation for $20billion megaproject.
• Completed 6-month contract in 4 months and advised on complex logistics for shipment/installation of 20+ prefabricated refinery modules from South Korea requiring a customized fleet of transport vessels. The project was building a modular Oil Refinery and Gas processing unit in Kazakhstan.
SAUDI ARAMCO ? Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2015-2017
Senior Construction HSSE Specialist
On the construction of a $33 billion megaproject which included a new oil refinery, port facility, naval base and power plant. Ensured strict adherence with HSSE legislation and standards. Oversaw crude processing unit, pipe spool fabrication, main pipe racks, and flare construction as a key member of the Project Management team. Monitored project groundworks, civils, steel structures, engineering, and electrical installations as well as wastewater processing.
• Recognized by Project Manager for attention to detail across all areas and strict compliance with HSSE standards; led safety management across numerous smaller projects.
• Liaised in close collaboration with Korean main contractor and a multinational safety team; significantly raised competence and improved safety across many sub-contractors who gained recognition for achieving millions of safe man hours over the entirety of the project.
• Involved in managing the construction of a large waste-water treatment plant to serve the projects and new port facility.

Led 100+ member Exploration & Production (E&P) Project team for global oil and gas enterprise and ensured the safe and successful delivery of $100M offshore drilling project. Provided HSSE input and advice on onshore/offshore operations, emergency response plans, and occupational health issues.
• Managing all HSSE aspects for the first drilling campaign offshore Morocco; drafted all policies and procedures for adoption on future drilling projects.

Pioneer Camp, SHELL, Iraq | HSSEQ Consultant & Client Representative (2010-2011): Contracted for 7-month onsite HSSEQ management in the construction of a pioneer camp in Majnoon oil field, Iraq. Submitted regular statistical reporting on all HSSEQ matters; enforced compliance with client policies.
• Monitored ground preparation for upgrading project located in a heavily mined battlefield with unexploded ordnance; trained Iraqi security officers and maintained site safety and productivity.
Cryogenic Tank Construction, NAM KWANG CONSTRUCTION, Angola | HSSE Engineer / Manager (2009-2010): Managed HSSE activities of 69 Korean and 100 local sub-contractor personnel on a complex liquefied natural gas (LNG) construction project; oversaw construction of cryogenic tanks and all associated technology and pipelines.
• Transformed failing safety record into an award-winning operation within 3 months of assignment; secured current and won an additional contract with outstanding performance turnaround.
